Yememi security forces conducted air raids in the outlying Abyan and Shabwa provinces of Yemen, targeting suspected Al-Qaeda fighters as part of ongoing conflict in the Country. At least 30 fighters were killed, reports a local town Mayor, and many more were injured. As well as this, Red Cross worker Hussein Saleh was killed whilst on a humanitarian mission to aid a fellow kidnapped colleague who was abducted in Western Yemen.
