Boorundara council to install CCTV cameras along Glenferrie Road

The Victorian Governement has given the Boorundara district nearly quarter of a million dollars to install surveillance cameras along the popular entertainment district of Glenferrie Road,  Hawthorn. This move was made to increase safety and sense of security for its residents, and for those who live in close proximity, this will surely be an interesting development and welcome measure for most.

International Business Times Report

Melbourne, and indeed the entire state, was shaken by an earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale, and was the largest felt in 109 years. No injuries or serious damage was caused, apart from the subsequent crash of the Geoscience Australia website, which could not keep up with the public demand of information about the event.
